Remember how I said that if a film had been made about Vivien Leigh in the 1970s Isabelle Adjani would have been perfect for the role? Well, it turns out that I’m not the only one who saw the resemblance. In 1991, Adjani was France’s official pick to play Scarlett O’Hara in the sequel to Gone with the Wind (which was published by Alexandra Ripley that year). Scarlett, starring Timothy Dalton and Joanne Waley-Kilmer as Rhett Butler and Scarlett O’Hara, is a really crappy piece of television. Can you imagine how much more quality it would have been with this stunning/amazing/flawless/actually good actress playing it instead? Got a French accent? It still would have been better than the final product. Of course, they’d have to get an actor that could stand up to her. She’s way too pretty for Timothy Dalton. Anyway, I’m so glad Paris Match did this photo spread!

She does look kinda like Vivien. Although I haven’t seen her in anything, I doubt even her talent would have saved Scarlett. Nothing could lol
